Experience

My experience focuses on restoration ecology, GIS, remote sensing, ecological monitoring, and community science. I have contributed to projects involving biodiversity monitoring, drone imagery, participatory science workflows, ecological restoration, and environmental data management across California using field ecology and geospatial technologies to support conservation and environmental research.

Employment

California State University, Stanislaus

Research Assistant — Human-Environment eXploration (HEX) Lab

Jan 2025–Present

Developing participatory science workflows for urban forestry and environmental monitoring projects using GIS and community science approaches. Current work focuses on field-tested data collection frameworks, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS dashboards, and improving accessibility and usability in community-based environmental data collection.

GIS Student Assistant

Oct 2024–Aug 2025

Supported university GIS initiatives involving geodatabase managment, campus mapping, spatial inventories, and GIS workflow automation. Worked with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, GNSS equipment, Python scripting, and geospatial application development to improve spatial data management and support campus infrastructure mapping projects.

River Partners

Associate Restoration Science Fellow

Aug 2025–Mar 2026

Supported ecological restoration monitoring, biodiversity monitoring, and geospatial analysis projects across the Northern San Joaquin Valley. Worked extensively with GIS, drone imagery, remote sensing, ArcGIS Field Maps, and ecological field surveys to support riparian restoration, invasive species management, and habitat monitoring efforts. Responsibilities included special-status species surveys, ecological monitoring, drone data processing, geospatial QA/QC, and biomonitoring equipment deployment across diverse restoration habitats.

Ecological Restoration Fellow

Jun 2025–Aug 2025

Conducted independent research on multispectral drone workflows for invasive vegetation mapping in restoration landscapes. Supported vegetation and pollinator habitat monitoring projects while assisting with ecological field surveys, GIS workflows, and restoration science initiatives. Also assisted interns in vegetation identification, GIS workflows, and ecological field projects.

College Corps at Stanislaus State

Climate Action Fellow

Aug 2024–May 2026

Participated in ecological restoration, environmental outreach, urban forestry monitoring, and community science initiatives across California through two consecutive College Corps terms. Responsibilities evolved form supporting restoration and stewardship projects to leading volunteer training, citizen science workshops, biodiversity monitoring initiatives, and environmental education activities focused on restoration ecology and conservation.
